Course: The Effects of Blue Light

This is an introductory course related to blue light and its effect on sight, the human body, food, and pharmaceuticals. This course will explain the factual information and data that have been collected about blue light. It will also address some of the myths and effects yet to be scientifically proven. The goal of this class is to help those participating understand how to discuss blue light, its effects, and properly apply it in lighting design.

Presenters: Jen Konrad, RID, EDAC joined Hossley Lighting in 2017. Prior to that she worked at Austin architectural firms as a Designer, Project Manager and most recently, Director of Interiors. She brings a designer’s perspective, understanding of architectural details and 13 years of healthcare expertise to Hossley’s Specification Sales team.

Denise Goetz has worked professionally in the Lighting industry for over 20 years. Her role on the Hossley Specification Sales Team is to collaborate with architects, interior designers and electrical engineers to develop the very best lighting and controls solutions. She approaches every project with high enthusiasm, a wealth of knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot issues while protecting the design intent.
